Wedding Invitation Letter
A wedding invitation letter announces the marriage of an engaged couple. Traditionally it comes from the parents of either the bride or groom and gives the invitees the information that they need, such as the date, time and place where the ceremony will be held. It also provides invitees with a way to contact the hosts to let them know that they will attend.
- Announce the wedding ceremony.
- Provide details of the time, date, and place of the ceremony and reception.
- Ask them to RSVP with you.
- Be sure to send the letter out with a long enough lead time, typically 6-8 weeks before the wedding.
