If you would like to be nominated for a position or award, you can write a nomination letter to nominate yourself (as long as there are no policies/rules against doing so).
If the letter is being sent as a hard copy, then it should be in the proper business format, otherwise, if the letter is being emailed, it should have an appropriate subject line and proper grammar.
I'm writing to you to nominate myself for the Outstanding Student Leadership Award. I am an accomplished senior at West High School and am passionate about helping my fellow students and community.
I have been selected by my peers to be the senior class president of my school. Through this position I have implemented a Community Saturday where students volunteer to help charitable organizations throughout the community during the last Saturday of every month. With this initiative, over 100 students have volunteered their time to help out various organizations.
In addition to being senior class president, I am an honors student and captain of the basketball team. As captain, I was an integral part of the team and helped lead them to the first division championship in 10 years. This was quite a turn around for a team with a losing record in the prior year. I was also awarded division MVP due to my contributions to the team.
I have no doubt that I am deserving of the Outstanding Student Leadership Award. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at my email address. Thank you for taking your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
